Fertility Treatments Constantly Evolving
Lawrence B. Werlin, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
The field of Reproductive Medicine is one of the most dynamic and constantly changing fields in medicine. The first baby born from In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) will turn 34 years old in July 25th. The Nobel Prize in medicine in 2010 was awarded to Dr. Robert Edwards as the surviving member of the team that produced this first IVF baby. Since that time our field has constantly improved and implemented new techniques to assist patients in achieving success. Dr. Lawrence B. Werlin, a nationally noted specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, has been responsible for over 3,000 babies born in Orange County and continues to earn accolades and recognition from the medical community.
