This PII is used to facilitate our services for the patients and partners. User consent is explicitly obtained for the collection of this data through form disclaimers.
  • User Account Creation: Please note that account creation is not currently required on our platform. Therefore, there are no requirements for account creation or responsibilities for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
  • Protected Health Information (PHI): We handle Protected Health Information (PHI), including medical records and health history. To ensure the security of your PHI, it is encrypted using TLS/SSL during transmission and AES-256 for data at rest. We have proper access controls in place, including role-based access control, login, and activity logs tracker, to restrict unauthorized access to PHI. Our employees are trained on HIPAA compliance and data security practices.
  • Third-Party Sharing: We share certain data with third parties.
    • Anonymized user behavior data is shared with third-party tools used for marketing and analysis. This data cannot be traced back to individuals and is used solely for marketing and analytical purposes.
    • PHI is only shared with concerned healthcare providers after receiving explicit user consent. This sharing is limited to the necessary PHI data required to offer better reproductive health services to the concerned patient. All third parties that handle or have handled our PHI data meet and follow Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) as required by HIPAA.
  • Data Retention and Deletion:
    • General user data is retained without any predetermined tenure.
    • PHI is stored per compliant to HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA, and the PHI data retention is usually 30 days.

Users can send a formal request to our email “info@coastalfertility.com” to request the deletion of their data. We may use various processes for verifying the identity of users submitting such requests including email and call verification.

User Rights and Compliance Requirements

Coastal Fertility Medical Center (CFMC) is committed to protecting your data and upholding your rights under applicable privacy regulations.

Prohibited Uses of UGC
